Bloganuary 2023, Day 31: Where is the best place to watch the sunset near you?

Something to get me going for January, Bloganuary.  Day 31: Where is the best place to watch the sunset near you?

Well, three blocks down at the ocean for sure. I know, we are SO lucky to have ocean nearby for views and sunsets, but I can tell you one thing: there is NOTHING like a Saskatchewan sunset. Nothing at all. It’s one of the things I miss most about Sask, second only to the friends still there.

Bloganuary 2023, Day 22: What was your dream job as a child?

Something to get me going for January, Bloganuary.  Day 22: What was your dream job as a child?

My first recollection of wanting to be something was when I was in grade 4 or so, I wanted to be a paleontologist. I was obsessed with dinosaurs and read every book in the library about them. Then I switched gears and wanted to be a veterinarian. I kept on that track until second year university when, due to a realization that physics and biology were hard, I switched into music, something I had been involved with since I was 5 years old. Am I a musician now? Nope. Not a paleontologist, a vet, a musician, not even a linguist which was my second degree. It will all be part of my memoir to be written some day, my life as a quitter.

Pictured here, small collection of bass players from one of those long ago dream jobs….
