Today’s CY365 theme is “seize the moment”. So today I seized that moment and finished prepping (mostly), taped and primed the office….well most of the office. There is still one part of one wall that has a hole I still need to sand, but the rest is done.
Oh, and now that I’ve primed I’ve found a few more holes to fix. It will never be done… never!! Never!!
And yes, that’s primer and NOT the colour the office will be. There’s still lots of painting to go.
Zombies
Last summer I posted this picture and post on a blog site I no longer use. I recently received a comment on it and thought that I should share the post and the comment here! So, let me show you the original post first, followed by the comment.
Original Post:
So, what’s up with this? I even spent a bit of time today googling Zombie Response Unit, but didn’t come up with anything that would explain this…unless…it really IS the end of days! The Republicans are right!
Of course, the most disappointing thing was that there weren’t any actual zombies on the bus. And, while the path that I was running along was teeming with people and dogs, I didn’t see anyone that looked suspiciously like they wanted ton eat my brains. So, all in all, a bit disappointing given the awesome buildup!
If I ever find out more, I’ll be sure to let you know!
Comment:
Awesome picture of the bus. Feel free to check us out at zombieresponsebus.com .
Cheers, it was a very nice day to not be a Zombie.
Scott.

I LOVE this. I posted that image last summer, and now know what it was all about! Without blogging, it would have remained a mystery forever. Not that mysteries are bad things. Sometimes it’s ok not to find out. But in this case, I am glad I found out and will be on the lookout for the Zombie Response team when I run!

Today’s CY365 theme is “bittersweet”. So, here is my story today.
Our house was built in 1907. Someday I’ll tell that whole story too. But here is the upper corner of one of the upstairs rooms, probably originally a bedroom but now our office. Anyway, the room was covered with ugly blue-flowered wallpaper when we bought the house. When I stripped the wallpaper off we found that above the picture rail, along the ceiling, the wall had a stencil that has been covered by wallpaper. We have asked around a bit and suspect that this stencil was original, or near original, to the house.
So why bittersweet? Well, bitter because the stencil is faded and worn, but sweet because when I paint this room later this week, I am NOT painting over the stenciled part of the wall! I’ll be sure to show the end result when I’m finally done.

Today’s CY365 theme is “predictable”, and what could be more predicable than Monday meatloaf? Made a bit less predictable with, wait for it…Bacon!!

Today’s CY365 theme is “crowded around”. So, here are the wonderful plants I bought yesterday crowded around in the snow. Yes, there is snow there…trust me.

Today’s CY365 theme is “oh boy!”. Oh boy! There’s snow in them there hills, which may sound normal for this time of year in Canada, but we are talking Saltspring Island in late February!
Anyway it was a wet an chilly but wonderful day with a friend and her daughter driving around the island and buying hellebores! Oh, and cheese. You can’t go to Saltspring without buying cheese!! Oh boy!

Today’s CY365 theme is “notice”, so here is Jasper taking notice of something just when I was taking his picture. Ah cats…
