A Photo a Week Challenge: New

A Photo a Week Challenge at https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com.  This week: New (https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com/2018/12/27/a-photo-a-week-challenge-new/)

“In a new post created for this challenge, share a photo or two (or more) of something new.”

Every year we receive one or two new ornaments for the tree.  This one was made by my work friend Wendy!

And this one came from Kevin’s sister Cheryl – the Christmas Pickle.

It’s always so much fun to find these treasures when I open the ornaments box the next Christmas!

RagTag Daily Prompt: Abstract

A response in starting over with a new daily avoidance (or non-avoidance, as the case may be), here with the Ragtag Daily Prompt (https://ragtagcommunity.wordpress.com/2018/12/29/rdp-saturday-abstract/), today is Abstract.

This was pretty abstract….

Fandango’s One Word Challenge: Adventure

“Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt. Today’s word is “Adventure.””  (https://fivedotoh.com/2018/12/28/fowc-with-fandango-adventure/)

Mom and dad and I had an adventure yesterday, going to the Gingerbread showcase, and trying to find all the details in friend Judy’s prize-winning entry into the competition.  Judy, hope you don’t mind a bit of a showcase adventure here on Zombie Flamingos (in case you forgot, Judy is the creator of the Zombie Flamingo pictured on this blog!!)  And yes…this is her (and Gord’s) house!

Kitten Thursday…post Christmas Edition!

And here we are, the day after Boxing Day.  But I’m still on holidays, this time because, well, working for a post-secondary institution is the BEST when it comes to having additional time off between Christmas and New Year’s,  But, alas, I do go back next Wednesday so I need to enjoy the time off I have left before then…  Fortunately, these guys are helping!

Flower of the Day: December 25, 2018

Cee’s Flower of the Day (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/12/24/fotd-december-24-2018-pinecone-with-ribbon/)

It does not look a lot like Christmas here, but it sure feels like it!

Merry Christmas!

I don’t know if I will post anything tomorrow…it will be a busy and exhausting, but fun, day.  And I’m about to watch my favourite Christmas movie of all time (a Christmas Eve tradition!)

So to all my blogging friends, from me, Kevin, Nicholas, Jasper, and Elliot – Merry Christmas to you!!

RagTag Daily Prompt: Resplendent

A response in starting over with a new daily avoidance (or non-avoidance, as the case may be), here with the Ragtag Daily Prompt (https://ragtagcommunity.wordpress.com/2018/12/24/rdp-monday-resplendent/), today is Resplendent.

I thought the moon was pretty resplendent last night as we bbq’d on the deck.  We haven’t been out there for a few nights, as Kevin has not been feeling well.  It was nice to be back to the bbq!

Flower of the Day: December 23, 2018

Cee’s Flower of the Day (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/12/22/fotd-december-23-2018-lighted-poinsettia/)

This was BEFORE the wind…

Last Caturday before Christmas!

Here we are…the penultimate Caturday of 2018.  The last one before the big guy comes to give us all what we’ve got coming to us…creepy much?  I mean, this dude watches us while we are sleeping, and then stalks us during the day.   Has anyone else noticed that the letters in Santa also spell Satan??

Flower of the Day: December 21, 2018

No, these aren’t blooming in our yard right now.  Part of a bouquet from Kevin’s sister’s new beau!
