And Happy Birthday to me 🙂

Thanks for dinner Kevin!

So, Kevin took me out for dinner last night for my birthday (it’s on Tuesday).  Not only that, but he made reservations!!  And, it was one yummy dinner 🙂

Pork belly and octopus to start

Then duck breast for Kevin, and ling cod for me!  And, I have to say, that was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had!  It was so good, I had trouble taking clear pictures!!

And, empty plates all around to end the meal.

Caturday, at last!!

Yay!!

What’s in a prompt?

Orange you sad you are not here at this conference with me?  Nothing like having a conference in a city with a Starbucks on every corner…oh, and the conference is good too!  Let’s hope I make it onto a ferry tonight so I can get home 🙄

Kitten Thursday from Vancouver!

A response in not as much avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/surreal/

So, here I am, sitting in my hotel room having just arrived in Vancouver for a workshop tomorrow.  Well, it begins tonight with a meet and greet in a little while so I won’t be sitting here ALL night.  But I sit here now, relaxing on the bed, as I really don’t feel much like wandering around the city before heading outta the pub.  Yes, the meet and greet is a pub night gathering.  We are not heathens!

Anyway, aside from feeling generally lazy and relaxed, I am realizing that I have not yet provided you with a kitten Thursday post.  It feels a bit surreal posting kitten Thursday from afar, given that there are no kittens here to keep me company, but I can’t let you down…so here, without further ado, Kitten Thursday!  Oh, and by the way, I am editing this post in the WP app on my iPad.  Not fun!  But anything for you, my fine followers!

Confident in his identity

Jasper is nothing if not completely sure of who he is and what he likes best.

Apparently I have a lot of trademarks…

My trademark?  Sardonicism, baby.  Yes, it IS a word!

Also, bacon, coffee, and wine.

And, of course, kittens.

Share Your World – October 23, 2017

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2017/10/23/share-your-world-october-23-2017/).

Was school easy or difficult for you? How so?

Yes.  Learning was (is) easy.  Getting along with fellow students, not so much.  Well, when I say “getting along”, of course I mean that I was not a popular person in school (go figure).  So, the happiest day of my school years (pre-university) was the day it was over.

List some of your favorite types of animals.

What is your favorite large city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?

I don’t like large cities…I’ve been to New York, LA, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver.  I only remember that they are big and busy and not a lot of fun to drive in.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

What I appreciated this past week?  Well, I appreciated the weekend…partly because, you know, I wasn’t at work and partly because that was when my headache finally started to dissipate.  I also appreciated going to the opera with Mom, and spending time with Kevin and the kitties, and generally being lazy.

And I appreciated seeing this again at the place we buy our coffee beans.  I did NOT press the button this time!

Too much going on!

A response in not as much avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/cacophony/

That’s a big word, you know.  Cacophony.  Four syllables.  I bet certain orange-coloured world leaders couldn’t pronounce it.  Anyway, it means a lot of noise, or a lot going on at once.  So much that you can’t really make anything out.  A discordance, if you will.

So here, for your viewing pleasure, is a cacophony of herbs and spices in a lovely spice blend, the name of which I cannot remember for the life of me…

Expressions of Kittens on a Headachy Thursday

I won’t say much. My head still hurts, but it’s better than it was.  And kittens kept me company all day…
