Share Your World – January 13, 2020

And now for this week’s Share Your World (

What’s something your brain tries to make you do, which you have to will yourself NOT to do?  (could be a bad habit, a physical response to something…your interpretation is as good as mine! )

If I told you, I would have to k… oops…say no more…

When someone finds out what you do, or where you are from, what question do they always ask you?

No one ever finds out.

What’s something terrifying that we’ve all come to accept as a fact of life?

Should governments make laws to protect people from harming themselves?  Could that even work?  (yes this one is deep, maybe too deep).

Too deep.

Is ‘hello” enough for you these days?  (credit to Rory – )

Only if it has peaches in it…oh, sorry.  I thought you said “jello”…

Do you believe in Murphy?   For those who aren’t familiar with Murphy, here’s a wee explanation:  Murphy’s law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.

Does evil come from within?  If so, why?

If you mean from within a bowl of raisins, then yes.

Are intelligent people more or less happy than others?   What defines intelligence?

Yes.  And there is your definition.

What was the single best thing that happened in your life this past year?

Making it to 2020.

The most challenging?

Making it to 2020.

One thing you learned in 2019?

WTF?  It’s going to be 2020 tomorrow?!?!?

Given all your experiences, insights, and lessons learned in 2019, what’s the best advice you could give yourself for 2020?

Remember to write “2020” on your cheques.

What’s the best meal/food you ate in 2019?

If I had known I was going to be asked this, I would have remembered.

What are three activities you plan to use in the coming year to relieve stress?

Have you ever had to work on Christmas Day?

Who do you think makes the turkey?

If someone gifts you something that you immediately loathe, do you pretend to really like it anyway or are you brutally honest about your opinion?

I’m Canadian….what do you think?

Which popular drink, found during the Christmas season most often, is called “milk punch?”

Something I would never drink.

How many ghosts show up during “A Christmas Carol?”

I don’t know – I always close my eyes!

Are you all about the holly and jolly or more about remembering the alleged ‘true’ meaning of Christmas?

Seems to me they are the same thing.

And now for this week’s Share Your World (

Do you enjoy receiving Christmas cards through snail mail?

I want to say yes, in case people who send me cards are reading.  Yes…

Do you like the taste and/or smell of peppermint?

What’s not to like?

What is your least favorite holiday side dish?

Anything with raisins in it…please, just say no!

What is the coolest (best) gift you ever gave someone?

I once gave my brother a bunch of guitar picks…individually wrapped…maybe that explains a lot…

Bonus question because I thought it was nifty:   What is a Christmas song that makes you cringe?   (Please insert the word “Holiday” for Christmas if Christmas isn’t your thing or bothers you or something)

Any Christmas song sung by the wrong person…you know what I mean.

This is the RIGHT person:

What is truth? (Credit to Ursula )

The opposite of consequences.

What’s one thing people would never know about you just by looking at you?

I can’t tell you, ’cause I’d have to kill you.

Do loud noises bother you?

If you were guaranteed the correct answer to just one question, what would you ask?

Let’s face it – none of us want the “correct” answer…we want the answer that will help us sleep at night.

What’s your remedy for the Holiday blues?

Christmas music, Christmas music, and more Christmas music!

Your favorite beverage (if it differs) during the holiday season?  If it doesn’t differ, just answer the ‘what’s your favorite beverage” part.

Gingerbread lattes and hot chocolate with butterscotch schnapps 🙂

This one has been asked before, but what’s your take on pumpkin spice?

I’ll take it any time!

Is there is a person or god connected with your holiday?

The Grinch, man….the Grinch!

Share a song that you enjoy during this Winter season (whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, The Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa and so forth.

And now for this week’s Share Your World (

Where’s the line between respectful disagreement and being downright mean (bullying) to someone?

Wherever it needs to be.

Would you prefer to live in a world where alcohol was free or where politicians were honest?

Since I don’t believe the second can ever happen, let’s go with door #1!

What’s one habit you have that your family or friends think is rather childish?

I’m not childish, YOU’RE childish!

Would you rather go to a big party and rub shoulders with the rich and famous or go to an amazing quiet Garden that hardly anyone has ever visited?

What was that again?

Had any good conversations with yourself lately? Did you listen to yourself? And how’d that work out for you?   (Credit Allie Bean   https://thespectacledbean  )

What do you think?  About what? Have I had a good conversation with myself lately?  No – just shooting the breeze…

What is gravity and how does it work?

It’s heavy, man.

What is more real – Mind or Matter?

In my mind, it doesn’t matter.

Should a vegetarian (or vegan) eat animal crackers?

No one should eat animal crackers.

Name (describe) something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark and deserted wood or alley.   Politicians are a given, so skip those please.  Thanks!

The dark shadow of my past.

Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat) a good thing, a bad thing or a mixture of both?

Depends on how they are used.

Are you camera shy or do you pose for the camera with confidence?

Around here, only kittens pose for the camera!

Is there anything you’ve kept from younger years for sentimental reasons alone?

I still have some leftovers from dinner the other night…I was a lot younger then…

Do you like to decorate for different holidays?
