Share Your World – January 14, 2018

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/2019/01/14/share-your-world-1-14-19/).

You’re walking in a forest and you find a black suitcase.  Inside it is one millions dollars and a piece of paper, stained in blood and bearing the single word “Don’t!”  Would you take the suitcase home or leave it?

Why would I want the suitcase?

Imagine you lapsed and cheated on your partner. You feel horrible and you know you’ll never do it again, because the feeling is so awful. Would you confess?

I am imagining the word “diet” where it says “partner”.  And now I don’t feel awful.  So, much better!

Would you live your life differently if nobody ever judged you for anything you did?

Are people judging me?  What???

Would a fly without wings be called a walk? No? What would you call it?

Dead.

What’s something that brought joy and lightness of being to you this past week?

It’s a long story…

Share Your World – January 7, 2018

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/2019/01/07/share-your-world-1-7-19/).

Did you have to help out with chores when you were growing up?  If so, what were you assigned to do?

Yes.  I don’t want to talk about it.

Have you ever researched your family tree?   What do you know about your family’s roots?

I haven’t, but I have uncles and aunts who have.  I know enough, but not too much…I think I should be safe for awhile.

What’s your cure for hiccups?

You mean you can cure them (hic!)??

What makes you roll your eyes every time you hear it?  Either figuratively or literally?

You really don’t want to know…although some of you probably already do

Finally:  Share a gratitude or positive moment or experience from 2019 so far.

Knowing that spring is on its way!

Share Your World – November 26, 2018

Share Your World has moved!  Cee (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/08/30/changes-in-my-challenges/) has handed over the reins to Sparks from a Combustible Mind (https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/).  And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/2018/11/26/share-your-world-11-26-18/).

If your five year old self woke up in your current body, what would happen, what would you say?

What do you mean, “if”?

What is a relationship deal breaker for you?  Whether you are talking about a romantic one, a friendship or a related to sort of relationship?

Bacon.

Is there something out there, a thought, an idea, a current event, or a fear that you find deeply unsettling?

Yes…many…

And one that is a bit whimsical:  If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?

So many choices…

Finally, what were you grateful for this week?  Something that brought some joy into your world?

A Santa Clause parade with no rain…very joyful!

What’s the most ironic thing you’ve ever witnessed?

That’s a hard one, ’cause I feel like I experience irony on a daily basis.

Let’s talk turkey.  Pro or con?   If pro, which part do you enjoy most?  Is it for Thanksgiving (American Style any way) only?

I don’t understand the question.  Is there a con?  When would you NOT want to eat turkey (unless you are vegan/vegetarian…I’ll give you that)?

If you’d like, share one thing you wish you’d said to someone else, but now you’ll never have the chance.

Excelsior!

What odd smell do you really enjoy?

When you think about it, aren’t all smells kind of odd?

Thankful November….share a story or time when someone did something really great for you.  Alternatively,  share your gratitude moments during this past week.

What I am grateful for this past week was having a week at work that was almost good enough to make me happy to be there.  Almost.  Which is a huge leap forward from the past 4 years.  That and kitties in front of the fire.

Is there one post on your site that is really special to you?

Nope.  I love them all the same!

How Do You Deal With Negative People?

I roll my eyes a lot…

What Is The First Thing You Think Of When You Wake In The Morning?

Wonder why I have to wake up in the morning.

Would You Rather Be Able To Talk With The Animals Or Speak All Foreign Languages?

Questions like this puzzle me, since neither is possible.  Although, I think being able to talk to animals would be much more productive than expanding the ways I have to communicate with humans.

November is a month in which many people give thanks.  America (and other countries) celebrate an actual Thanksgiving Day. For example, Canada celebrates this in October.  This month the gratitude question will address your life and what things you’ve received or done, that have brought you joy and sometimes relief perhaps. What small thing happened today (or in the past few days) that you were grateful for?

My photography class, which I am going to in a few minutes, followed by Kevin making dinner!  🙂

Soon….

Share Your World – July 23, 2018

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/07/23/share-your-world-july-23-2018/).

In regards to puzzle what’s your choice: jigsaw, crossword, word search, mazes, logic or numeric puzzles, something else, or nothing?

I don’t have a lot of patience for puzzles – if I can’t get them, I look up the answers at the back of the book.  Yes, I do.  They give us the answers for a reason!

List at least five favorite treats and it doesn’t necessarily have to be food.

Bacon is my favourite treat.  Bacon and potato chips are my two…two favourite treats.  Bacon and potato chips…and staying in my pajamas all day are my three favourite treats.  Bacon, potato chips, pjs…and a cold glass of beer on a hot day are my four…four favourite treats.  And an almost fanatical devotion to the pope.  Sorry, I mean watching Monty Python…

What is your favorite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

Hot!

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

I appreciated another wonderful week off of work, spending time with my parents and my Aunt from Texas, walking, taking pictures, and generally trying not to think about going back to work in a couple of weeks…sigh…

Share Your World – July 16, 2018

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/07/16/share-your-world-july-16-2018/).

Since we are approaching the hottest part of our summer in the northern hemisphere, what’s your favorite ice-cream, frozen yogurt or sorbet flavor?  (Those of you who live down under I’m sure you remember what it is like in the hot summer months).

There is only one flavour:  mint chocolate chip.

How often do you people watch?

I watch them all the time…oh, I thought you said Kitten watch…

If you had a choice which would be your preference salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?

Dessert!  Oh, that wasn’t one of the choices, was it…

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

Finally getting a good shot of this guy right here.

Share Your World – July 9, 2018

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/07/09/share-your-world-july-9-2018/).

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

More Cowbell.  Or is that for my tombstone?  Hey…works for both!

Which do you prefer sweet, salty or buttery?

Bacony!

What’s the finest education?

Reading the signs, man.  Reading the signs.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

This past week, I am appreciating getting new windows put in upstairs, replacing yucky aluminum windows with new wood windows, which will also have storms for insulation.  Davyd, the vintage window expert, is, as always, amazing!  And don’t worry – I will be posting before and after pictures once they are done.

What one word describes you best?

Bemused.

What is set as the background on your computer?

A plethora of photographs I have taken.

If you have been to a foreign country name those you have been too?

Idaho.  It’s pretty foreign to me!

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

What did I appreciate this past week?  Kittens, Kevin, and fireplaces as I recovered from my cold…

Share Your World – October 23, 2017

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2017/10/23/share-your-world-october-23-2017/).

Was school easy or difficult for you? How so?

Yes.  Learning was (is) easy.  Getting along with fellow students, not so much.  Well, when I say “getting along”, of course I mean that I was not a popular person in school (go figure).  So, the happiest day of my school years (pre-university) was the day it was over.

List some of your favorite types of animals.

Jasper

Elliot

Nicholas

What is your favorite large city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?

I don’t like large cities…I’ve been to New York, LA, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver.  I only remember that they are big and busy and not a lot of fun to drive in.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

What I appreciated this past week?  Well, I appreciated the weekend…partly because, you know, I wasn’t at work and partly because that was when my headache finally started to dissipate.  I also appreciated going to the opera with Mom, and spending time with Kevin and the kitties, and generally being lazy.

And I appreciated seeing this again at the place we buy our coffee beans.  I did NOT press the button this time!
