Tuesday. And that means pictures from last night’s supper

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/elicit/

Well, why not?  Tuesday sounds like a perfect day to post pictures of food…

The real reason I took pictures of our dinner last night was not the baby bok choy

nov212016i

Or the ribs

nov212016m

They were good, but we’ve definitely had them before (and I know I’ve posted bok choy pictures before)

No.  It was the baked polenta with sauteed mushrooms I made for the first time.  Because, well, YUM!!

Here is it after I made the polenta and sauteed the mushrooms and packed them together into one tasty package, along with parm and Gruyere sprinkled inside and on top…

And here is the final product, a baked up, melty, cheesy goodness!

Can you have polenta for breakfast??

52 Weeks Photo Challenge: Week 15

A challenge from That Girl that Dreams Awake (https://thegirlthatdreamsawake.wordpress.com/) – a 52-week challenge, and this week’s topic is Christmas (https://thegirlthatdreamsawake.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/52-weeks-photo-challengeweek-15-christmas/)

What a coincidence, considering I just decorated (minus the tree) yesterday!

There will be many more photos of Christmas decorations to come!!!

Monday Window: November 21 2016

And now it’s time for Monday Window (https://mondaywindow.wordpress.com)

A window from way back – from our old house in Regina, Sask!  I loved that dining room window looking out over the backyard!  The close-up was probably taken this time of year.  The only time I really miss snow.

Share Your World – 2016 Week 47

And now for this week’s Share Your World (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/11/21/share-your-world-2016-week-47-grateful-list/).

What are you grateful for in regard to:

Your home life?

Grateful for Kevin and the kitties (Jasper, Elliot, Nicholas)…that’s the home life!

Your family?

Grateful for mom and dad living nearby, for my brother and his wife who live far away in the snow (sorry Mike!), for my ‘MurKan relatives near and far – remember, we have plenty of room for all of you here in Trumpless-land!

Your blogging community?

I am grateful to have met so many fascinating people whose blogs I love to read, and who actually read mine!

Your city or immediate area in which you live?

This was today…need I say more?

nov212016b

The regional area in which you live?

See above!

The country where you live?

It’s Canada, eh?

You?

Sure…end with the hard one.  I’m a work in progress, so I’m grateful for being alive so I can keep working on that progress 🙂

NaNoPoblano – Day 21 (November 21): Are you sure it’s November?

Go NaNoPloblano (National Blog Posting Month) (https://cheerpeppers.wordpress.com/) !  And day 21 of 30 Days of Thankfulness (https://mcclendonvilla.wordpress.com/2016/10/29/30-days-of-thankfulness/).

Went for a walk over the lunch hour with a couple of colleagues and it had to be 15 degrees out – that’s 15 Celsius for you ‘MurKans (I am sure Google can convert that for you 🙂 )!

Anyway, it was amazing out there.  Compared to what we saw on TV in Ottawa yesterday…

nov202016o

I think we live in a pretty great place!

And the week begins…

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/aromatic/

Or did it begin yesterday?  I am never really clear on that.  It would probably help the old mind-set, thinking that the week begins on a non-work-day (for me).  I should really try that.

At any rate, you may remember that I decorated the house yesterday.  What I didn’t mention was that I had help.  Not Kevin as he was working on his year-end taxes.  But these fellows were quite helpful…

nov202016l nov202016m

Oh, and Kevin was also watching the Eastern and Western finals (Grey Cup is next weekend man!).  This was the scene in Ottawa during the game yesterday.  Notice how they had to draw the yard-lines in the snow!

nov202016o

Sorry my brother and sister-in-law and all my Ottawa friends.  Does it help to say I am looking forward to a nice walk in the sunshine on my lunch hour today??

NaNoPoblano – Day 20 (November 20): It’s beginning to look a lot like…well, you know…

Go NaNoPloblano (National Blog Posting Month) (https://cheerpeppers.wordpress.com/) !  And day 20 of 30 Days of Thankfulness (https://mcclendonvilla.wordpress.com/2016/10/29/30-days-of-thankfulness/).

Yes.  I pulled out all the Christmas decorations today.  No tree yet (it’s gotta be real, so we’ll get it close to the big day), but everything else is up!  Here are a few of them (don’t worry, you’ll be seeing them all before long…)  Thankful for this time of year!!

Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge 2016 Week 46

For this week’s Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge, 2016 Week 46 (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/11/18/cees-odd-ball-photo-challenge-2016-week-46/)

“Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge (COB) is all about those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.”

I have absolutely no idea why I took this picture…guess that makes it odd!
