JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge: Day Three – Spooky
This is JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge, “31 days, 31 topics. Share a photo, drawing, story, poem, quote, etc. every day of October. Each day there will be a new topic, but if you prefer to stray from the topics, as long as your post is Halloween oriented, it counts!” And this is my post for Day 3: Spooky (https://jennifernicholewells.com/2016/10/03/jnws-halloween-challenge-spooky/)
I like making my pictures spooky. That is all…
A Sunday in the life…

First of all, it’s definitely fall. Guess it is October, so no surprise there…
Second, went to a concert with mom last night. The Aventa group (founded by friends Darnell and Bill) – I’m on the board and I sell tickets at the concerts.
The concerts take place at the University of Victoria, in the Music Department concert hall. This is the entrance.
Here is where mom and I sit, selling tickets to the masses!
The view out the window while we sold tickets before the concert went from this…
To this…
The concert was good – and it’s always nice to hang out with mom!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Nostalgia
“For this challenge, show us what nostalgia means to you — perhaps a moment or scene that makes you feel wistful, happy, sad, or somehow longing for the past. It might be with friends, family, or by yourself — anywhere, anytime of year. We can’t wait to see your interpretations of this theme!” (https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/nostalgia/)
I am not usually nostalgic, but every so often I miss this little house on the prairies…
JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge: Day Two – Ghost
This is JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge, “31 days, 31 topics. Share a photo, drawing, story, poem, quote, etc. every day of October. Each day there will be a new topic, but if you prefer to stray from the topics, as long as your post is Halloween oriented, it counts!” And this is my post for Day 2: Ghost (https://jennifernicholewells.com/2016/10/02/jnws-halloween-challenge-ghost/)
We live in a Ghost House. At least that’s what Kevin tells people. He likes to tell people that Martha (the original owner, who supposedly died in the house) is still here – buried in the original built-in underneath all of our entertainment stuff in the living room. Here…
Now, I ask you. Does this look like a haunted house??
JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge: Day One – Pumpkin
An October Challenge! Ok, I’ve already missed day one, but I am catching up here. I haven’t been doing too well with challenges over the past couple of weeks. I’ll blame Donald Trump. Why? Because, why not?
Anyway, this is JNW’s Hallowe’en Challenge, “31 days, 31 topics. Share a photo, drawing, story, poem, quote, etc. every day of October. Each day there will be a new topic, but if you prefer to stray from the topics, as long as your post is Halloween oriented, it counts!” And this is my post for Day 1: Pumpkin (https://jennifernicholewells.com/2016/10/01/jnws-halloween-challenge-pumpkin/)
I’m not much good at carving pumpkins (kind of like my pottery experience of last week), but I am good at finding pictures of pumpkins other people have made on my computer…

Three Line Tales – Week 35: Photobomb
This challenge comes from Sonya at Only100Words (https://only100words.xyz/2016/09/29/three-line-tales-week-thirty-five/) , and here are the rules:
“Write three lines to go with the weekly photo prompt (the photos I use are either royalty-free or I’ve been given permission by the photographer to use them; please credit where appropriate) – sideways interpretation is encouraged. The photo is the launch point – take us wherever you fancy.”
Oh, come on Sid.
What, dude?
Right in front of the sunrise man?
You can’t see me…

What is is about cats – hiding under whatever furniture is handy, just out of reach, but forgetting we can still see their tails? Is it denial? The Emperor Has No Clothes syndrome? Or, wait a minute…. No – cats know perfectly well we can see their tails. Bastards!!
The first day of Hallowe’en…
