Three Line Tales – Week 29: Doh!
This challenge comes from Sonya at Only100Words (https://only100words.xyz/2016/08/18/three-line-tales-week-twenty-nine/) , and here are the rules:
“Write three lines to go with the weekly photo prompt (the photos I use are either royalty-free or I’ve been given permission by the photographer to use them; please credit where appropriate) – sideways interpretation is encouraged. The photo is the launch point – take us wherever you fancy.”

Friends, I have to be honest. This has been a really rough week. I couldn’t have gotten through it without Kevin, my friends, and some amazing colleagues, all of whom have put up with a lot of me trying to sort a lot of things out. And it’s still only Friday morning, with Monday looming on the horizon. I know that somehow I will get through this – I just don’t know what I’ll look like on the other side.
To give you an idea of things I do to get me through some of my days, this mysteriously appeared on my wall at work yesterday. And if at least one person laughs when they see this hanging in my office, my day is made. (And yes, this idea did come from FB.)
Thursday Doors, August 18 2016
Here is Thursday Doors from Norm at Miscellaneous Musings of a Middle-aged Mind (https://miscellaneousmusingsofamiddleagedmind.wordpress.com/2016/08/18/thursday-doors-august-18-2016/)
I saw this door over the weekend. I stopped to take the pictures, and Kevin said “What are you doing?” I said “Taking a picture.” He said “Of what?” I said “Of this door – it’s cool.” He said “No it’s not.” I guess the obsession with doors to the bemusement of my family and friends has begun.
I still say this is a cool door.
And it’s…yes it is….Kitten Thursday!!

And a good thing it is too. I haven’t been taking a lot of pictures this week other than kitties.
Some of them on the move (the blur gives it away)
Eating dinner after being cruelly starved all day
And wondering why I am so interested in where they are sitting these days.
Macro Moments Challenge: Week 9
Week 9 of Macro Moments from Musin’ with Susan (https://musinwithsusan.com). (https://musinwithsusan.com/2016/08/17/macro-moments-challenge-week-9/). Just to remind you (and me), here’s how the challenge works:
- Choose a favorite macro photo from the past week or from your archives.
- Add the photo to your post and a brief description. I would love to know, as I am sure others would, too, what camera and lens you used and your settings.
This week there is a theme of “inanimate objects”, so neither plant nor animal. I am cheating, well kind of. I took this picture over the weekend with the Macro Challenge in mind, and while technically the object here is made up of what was once animals and plants, it is now inanimate…
iPhone6, Camera+ app, Macro setting, f/2.2, 1/30 sec exposure, ISO-250, focal length 4mm

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Hands
For this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Hands. (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/08/16/cees-fun-foto-challenge-hands/)
“This week’s topic is Hands. Hands are so distinctive from one person to another. They can show a lot of character. You can build stories of how a person lives by simply taking photos of their hands. So I wan to see those hands at rest, at play and at work. Four legged animals of course have their hands too and are always fun. Have fun with this challenge this week. ”
As usual, I have no pictures of hands belonging to human-like critters. But here are a couple of critter-like hands!
