Every day is bacon day!

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/a-brand-new-you-effective-tomorrow/

So, apparently yesterday (December 30) was Bacon Day.  If you don’t believe me, check out National Calendar Day (http://www.nationaldaycalendar.com/bacon-day-december-30/).  So, in honour of the day, I ate bacon.

Of course, I eat bacon on many other days.  In fact, one of the things I am planning on doing this next year is blog a bit about food.  Specifically, food with bacon in it.

Kevin’s cousin Kirsten gave me a little recipe book when she visited in October.  It’s called Bacon Recipes, and as you can see from the cover, there are 55 recipes, making it the perfect recipe book to blog about over a year.

Of course, I anticipate some challenges, specifically with the gluten-free aspect of my life – oh, and the taking pictures of food part (taking picture of food is hard!), but it could be kind of fun figuring all that out.  And this way, I can celebrate the joy that is bacon all year round!   Look for my first post from the Bacon Book this next week.

And now, to complete our Daily Post today:

  1. Bacon rocks! That is all.
Oh, and Happy New Year! 😃

  2. Bacon is the best! I have it often! Do your kitties get a bite? Ours get a tidbit now and again. 😉

  3. A journey involving bacon sounds like a lot of fun! Happy new year and best wishes to you, and those beautiful kitties, in 2016.

  4. Based on my Facebook newsfeed, I would have to say that 2015 was the year of bacon. Never ceases to amaze me what foodstuffs come in bacon flavoured varieties.

But I look forward to your 2016 Year of Bacon. One can never have too much bacon. I learned that from Facebook too.

  5. Bacon should be considered a drug lol….I love bacon wrapped smokies…those are the best!!
