A little BBQ, a little spider, and a relaxing evening in front of the fire
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/ive-become-my-parents/
Last night for supper we BBQ sablefish, and had rice and kale sauteed in butter and garlic (yum).
mmmm….grilled sablefish….
I sat on the deck with Kevin to keep him company (and drink wine) and watched for spiders…
We then retired to the living-room (well, we ate there too. It’s what we do) and I read a book on my iPad Kindle app, while Kevin watched the Game (Riders, man) and some other TV stuff (I think it was Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters or something) with the fireplace going and kitties (eventually) sleeping. A nice, relaxing Saturday evening!

Don’t you love these months of the year when we can have fires?
Oh yeah!
You could have had a little barbecued spider. I hear they’re all the rage in Cambodia.
Yeah, no.
Ah, good. Both kitties together! I also love the one peeking around the table. Now starting to understand that eschudel has become Zombie Flamingos! Slow, but I get there eventually.

I have always been Zombie Flamingos 🙂
Sounds like a perfect evening, even with the guest spider. No kitties never miss a photo op. Beautiful post.
Thanks! It was indeed a nice evening.
Great post and lovely pictures! You cat should be a model cat. Its like she was posing to be gorgeous!
Thanks! They do like to be gorgeous, but they don’t always like to sit still for the pictures.
Yes I am sure. Photographing kids and animals is probably the hardest. But you made it look so easy 🙂
