Take your tiny wings and fly away…
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/sweeping-motions/
Yesterday I was at work. It was nice, partly to see people at work again, and also frankly because it was nice to have a day away from contractors at the house. Not that the guys we have working on the house right now aren’t fantastic – they are. It was just a really nice change.
Anyway, in addition to a nice walk at lunch, I also went for a run after work. I decided to run down to Clover Point, and while I would love to say – surprise! Look at what was going on there! I knew full well what was going on there, and went down at the time I did completely on purpose. I was, however, surprised that I managed to finish my whole training run during the madness, but I did, and then saw this. What was that, you say? Well, check it out here: http://www.rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca/en/snowbirds/index.page and here: http://www.timescolonist.com/news/local/snowbirds-bring-thousands-to-victoria-waterfront-for-aerobatic-show-1.2029263.

“In response as avoidance…” LOL
So glad someone laughed!
BRILLIANT, Emily Schudel: give the woman a cigar !!!
I have never seen such terrific shots of an air show: you are to be congratulated !!!!!
Oh, how exciting it must have been … lucky you ! The Snowbirds are wonderful !
Thanks! I took a lot that were, shall we say, not so terrific. It was kind of fun though!
We have the Blue Angels (US Navy) that put on air shows here in FL. So loud but so darn amazing. These are awesome shots!
Thanks! I think I may have noticed how loud they were more if I hadn’t been down there. I was so busy taking pictures, I didn’t even think about the noise!
Wonderful shots and your written tour is equally impressive. I have never seen a live air show. I recently missed the Blue Angels in Niagara Falls, New York. I never know they’re close until after the fact. Seeing your blog makes me determined not to miss them again.
Thanks! I hadn’t really paid much attention to the fact that the Snowbirds were coming until the day of, but I am glad I braved the crowds to see them!
So excited about the planes and thank you for liking my post.
🙂
