It rained, but scraping continued

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt

Yesterday was another day of listening to scraping and sanding on the house.  Quite impressive considering it was raining on and off.

They have set up even more scaffolding…

And should be ready to start priming on Monday or Tuesday.

In the meantime, I finally put colour on the walls of the spare room.  There is a second coat to do, and some touch ups I need to do (I’m really not a good painter) but it’s almost done!  And I really like the colour.

And now…kitties!

  1. Great post. The cat has the right idea – just wait. “Somebody, someday will do it for me.” Or maybe he was content with things the way they were.

    • Thanks! True enough – one of us will pretty much always do whatever the cats want. We are, after all, their human slaves. 🙂

  2. I fort you said it wuz gonna be white …? Not that I don’t like that colour – I do !
I also like them kitty pictures.

    • No – NEVER white! I hate white walls – I could hardly wait to get past the priming. I know, I know…hate is a strong word, but perhaps not strong enough for the way I feel about white walls 🙂

  3. I love the kitty on the fridge. Before my Teemu (that’s him in my Gravatar photo!) got too sick, old and a bit chunky, the top of the fridge was his most favorite spot in the house.

    • Yes – we’ve always had at least one kitty who loves the fridge. Or at least, being up on the highest thing possible in the room…

  4. Cute photos of the beautiful kitties. 🙂 I love the color you picked for the walls.
