So, without further ado, M is for … Mmmmm…not a great poem day for me. This one was about relations, real and imaginary.

Relations

My aunt, mother’s sister.
Far away, but always close.
Mom called me Carol
when I walked into the room.

Judy, like a sister
I never had.
We chair danced at work
to make the days go by.

Could the mountains
Be my brothers?
Stoic and silent
watching over me?

Ah, cynicism, my godmother,
I think of you whenever
sardonic sarcasm
escapes my lips.
