March Writing Prompts, Day 16 – A tale of turbulence
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, March’s Writing prompts.
Today, “A tale of turbulence”.
A tale of turbulence will be my day at work today. For those of you who don’t know, I work for a college in Victoria, BC, and at 8:00pm Saturday night, we received notice that as of Monday, all classes would be moving from face to face delivery to alternative delivery methods to help prevent the spread of the coronovirus. Oh, did I mention I work in eLearning? This is my tale or turbulence. Kind of explains why I had a work dream last night that involved an earthquake.
The thing about turbulence is that you often know it’s coming, but can’t always tell how bad it is going to be until you are in the middle of it. And that’s where we are at work right now. The calm before the bumps. How bumpy will it get? Will our plane take huge dives, plunging dramatically as we scream in terror? Who knows!
What I can say is that this is one plane ride I think I will enjoy (strangely enough), just like Kevin enjoys a real turbulent plane ride, plunges and all. Hold on to your hats folks!
