July Writing Prompts, Day 24 – An arctic dusting
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), July’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/07/01/july-2019-writing-prompts/
And today, July 24, the prompt is “An arctic dusting”.
We don’t get arctic dustings here very often. It is, after all, Victoria. You know – west coast splendor, and all that. However, every so often (like this past February) winter invades and shuts down the city, or at least some of it. Just as well – no one here has any clue how to drive in it!

I know you’ve talked about the weather in your part of Canada, but I always thought that all of Canada got snowed in ever winter. Goes to show what I know! This looks like a Christmas card. Very pretty.
Not too often where we live, but it is fun to see it once and a while!
I was the same as you, thinking of Canada as ‘frozen tundra’, until I met Emily and learned that her winters are far milder then ours here in the ‘lower 48’!
Who knew, right? 😀 Glad I was not alone in my thinking. Thanks, Jill!
Gorgeous photo. I like how the snow covered branches arch over the bench. 🙂
Thanks – it’s one of my favourites!
Wow, this is beautiful! I think I’ve been there – is this in the park?
Blessings to you, Emily. Enjoy the weekend.
Debbie
It’s on Dallas Road, just at the end of Douglas.
That is stunning! <3
It really was…thanks!
