Blogging from A to Z Challenge: R is for…Rather Late (#AtoZChallenge)

Welcome to my April 2019 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!

I’ve revealed my theme (A picture-story a day (in the life, so to speak)), and as I have every year, I am going to be blogging my theme letters on the fly – this year I didn’t even plan to do otherwise!  So, here goes nothing 🙂

Today, R is for…Rather Late with this Post

Ok, I admit it.  I am a day late, but it’s the weekend, and A to Z typically takes Sunday off, so I think I’m ok.  I do have a good excuse.  Company was coming to stay for a few days, so we were cleaning up the house and the garden and lawn, and then had to boogie out to the airport.  Unfortunately, our company had to leave first thing this morning as her kitten was very sick.  She had been hoping it would be good news, and we followed along with texts from her boyfriend who was taking her kitten to the vet for multiple tests, but by 9:00 past night, it was clear the news was not good, so she booked an early flight back.  We are sad to see her go, but even sadder she has to go through this with a beloved friend.

So, I am Rather late, but with a Rather good Reason.

I do have some Random pictures to share with you, from the brief time our friend was here.  Send her your thoughts – she is having a very rough day.

First, some odd things at the airport:

Very odd…kid’s play zone?

There are a lot of things you aren’t allowed to smoke at the airports in B.C.!

Random hydrant…

A couple of moon shots from our walk to the breakwater at 10:30pm.

And finally…

  1. Interesting playthings at the airport. Love the moon shots. I want to be that cat.

  2. Awwww … so sad for your friend. We are going through something similar, but not a kitten … our oldest, Princess Nala, is in her last days. It is always so hard, but I try to remember the words of Tennyson: “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”. Love the moon shots, and of course the kittie in front of the fire!
