Forgiveness Friday – A Friday Walk

I got frustrated today – not feeling great (cold coming on?), painting prep taking too long, and all the storm of crap going on south of our border. I needed a walk to calm down, and help me forgive myself for getting frustrated with all this stuff out of my control.
Here are some things I saw on my walk today.
What I’ve done on 2017 Summer Holidays Part II, Day 5
You’d think I could have gotten more done today, but no. Sand, sand, sand, and then patch some more, which means I need to sand again (and wash walls) before I can paint. Sigh.
So, no paint in the porch area – only more patching above the door.

Of course, it is only 11:17 am here. I will be getting something done later (spackling, sanding, and maybe even…gasp…painting!!)

What I’ve done on 2017 Summer Holidays Part II, Day 4
I hate scraping and sanding ceilings. I also hate that it is almost impossible for you to see all the work I did this afternoon on this bathroom. All on a white ceiling.

After (sanded and spackled, and still will need to be sanded AGAIN, and a bit of caulking, I think…sigh…).
The rest was a lot easier to sand. Do you know how hard it is to get up a ladder around a toilet and a tub to sand and scrap 10 foot ceilings? When you are afraid of ladders and heights???
I hate prep…

There has been a lot of weirdness going on south of our border for the past 6 months, and it just keeps getting weirder. But Elliot and Jasper are in their own zones. Zones which consist mostly of sunbeams and favourite chairs for sleeping.
Now, to get ready to do what I am going to do today…stay tuned!
