What I’ve done on 2017 Summer Holidays Part II, Day 6

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/substandard/

NOTHING!  Well, not nothing-nothing, but no real work on the soon-to-be-painted rooms.  Nope – I had lunch with mom and dad, and moved some junk out of their storage room for them.  And I spent some time on my online course site, as it was day one of the class!

So, now I am going to make myself another cup of coffee and open my textbook, and do a little reading.  In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from lunch 🙂

Oil and balsamic for the bread (I would have enjoyed this, but can’t eat the bread – mom and dad enjoyed the bread…

Dad’s seafood chowder

Mom’s Cioppino

My pork (it was yummy!)

We say on couches…

Next to the window…

The restaurant was quiet inside today, but it gave me a chance to take a picture of the main room!

  1. Awesome! You took a day to do (mostly) fun things! What is the subject of your online course?

    • The course is “Foundations of Adult Education”. It’s the first course in a certificate program I am doing as part of my professional development for work. It really gives me something to do to keep me from caring about work sh&%. It will be interesting – I design online courses for a living, but am not very good at taking them!

      • Ahhh … so that’s what you do for a living! All my coursework toward my still-incomplete Ph.D. was on-line! I really enjoyed the flexibility of it, but it definitely required some self-discipline. And falling asleep listening to lectures was sometimes a problem 🙂

Good luck with your course … I’m sure you will ace it!

  2. the oil and balsamic looks like an abstract painting! 🙂 cioppino looks lovely.
