Having written a very distressing piece about the Portland train stabbings, then read Roger’s heartbreaking but brilliant piece about Manchester, I needed a smile … needed something to chase the ‘saddies’ away before going to bed (at 4:00 AM!!!) … and I came here, as I so often do. Imagine my delight when I saw “Caturday”!!! I was overjoyed! Picture Snoopy doing the happy dance! Yes, just what this old, tired, sad soul needed! Though I have 7 of my own, I still enjoy seeing yours. Perhaps one day I shall do a post featuring the Significant Seven, though sadly I believe that soon they will become the Significant Six, as our 18-year-old, Orange, is literally on his last legs. :'( At any rate, thank you dear Emily for a much-needed Caturday!!!

Yes, it is sad, but at least we know that we gave them a lot of love and a good home. Ours are all rescue kitties who probably would have died long ago if we hadn’t found them when we did, and they have all lived long and hopefully happy lives. Orange is still hanging in … it’s funny … now he wants to be held all the time! 🙂 You have a great day too, and I will be looking forward to Kitten Thursday tomorrow!
