But it’s Friday, so it is already brighter…you know, weekend coming and all. It’s not been the best week around the world, nor have I had the best week (except when home with kitties and Kevin). So for everyone out there, while I know it won’t stop all the crap, enjoy a little spring randomness.
Mothers and babies were out in force the other day.
You probably can’t tell from this picture, but look up….waaaay up…the herons are nesting!
And what can I say? I love where we live!

Emily–I am so sorry. Yes, they most certainly are ducklings. What in the heck was I looking at?!
Where you live is beautiful, as are these pictures! I have to ask, though, since my vision is deteriorating, what is the structure in the second from the bottom picture? Even with my magnifying glass I could not tell, though I think I did see the heron’s nest!
I’m not really sure. Some kind of “shelter” built from driftwood. They are all over the beach out here!
Cool! I think you live in one of the most beautiful spots … a wonderful town and the beach, too! Who could ask for more?
