Bloomin’ Trees!
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/jolt/
Welcome to the bloomin’ trees of our backyard.
First, our Rainier Cheery tree. I didn’t see any bees yesterday – don’t know what kind of year it will be for cherries (last year was a boom!)
Second, our dead Rainier Cherry trees covered in Clematis! All Kevin’s idea – I think it was a good one, although we should probably cut these suckers back a bit this fall!!

I wouldn’t touch the clematis until you have more dead spindle vines than blooms 🙂 It’s BEAUTIFUL!
I’ve found that my apple trees alternate years of yield, and I am curious if the cherries there will be the same (low yield after high.)
No worries there – we will wait until fall for sure!! It will be interesting to see what happens with cherries for sure, especially since it’s not looking to be a great year for bees (because it’s been so cold here this spring).
Wow these are glorious shots! Thanks, Emily. I love that you have cherry trees (they are an excellent fruit). I enjoyed this a lot. ~Debbie
Thanks! We love our cherries too (as does dad!)
