Finally…

Finally it’s the weekend.  Even though it was a short week, and I was in workshops for much of it, it seemed to go on forever!  But now it’s the weekend and I can reflect on Friday.

Our entire institution was in a day-long retreat of sorts yesterday, the theme:  Truth and Reconciliation.  If you don’t know what that means, in a current Canadian context, go to Reconciliation Canada, or to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.  Strangely enough, in addition to talking about the concept of reconciliation in our own personal and workplace contexts, there was a lot of discussion around how we wish certain orange-coloured politicians would take some of these same concepts to heart…
