Goodbye (no, not to you, dear readers….I’m not going anywhere…)

Last week we sold our rental house.  We lived in it for 4 years when we first bought it, and then when we bought elsewhere were unable to sell it, so rented it to the best people in the world (we sure lucked out!) for 4 1/2 years.  Before Christmas, these lovely folks bought their own home and sadly let us know that they would be moving out at the end of January.  So, we put the house up for sale again, and last week accepted an offer.

We still had a few pots and things in the yard, so yesterday went over to collect them, and I took a picture of what was our home for 4 years.

We will miss our 1911 gem, with its pretty little yard in back and its beautiful huge maple tree in front.  But I am sure the new owners will treasure it as much as we did!

  1. As someone who moves frequently, I can understand the difficulty and bitter-sweetness of leaving a home behind. Best of luck to you!
