Last night mom and dad and I went to the symphony – remember, I told you it was a busy social weekend!
Anyway, they have a new conductor. Well, he officially starts next season, but he was conducting last night too.
But, I was distracted by these ladies who seemed to me to be all too interested in the audience.
A little creepy, if you ask me.
And there are two more on the other side.

Sunday – an opera and a dinner

So, yesterday I went to the opera with mom. It was a Verdi neither of us had seen, Simon Boccanegra, and one that we think we would have been perfectly ok with having never seen it. Oh well – the singing for the most part was good…
After the opera, we met Kevin and dad for dinner. First off, wine needed to be had.
Then a bit of appetizer madness, followed by some main courses – schnitzels for Kevin and me, ’cause it was a German restaurant.
And leftovers to take home for supper tonight (since tonight, I am off to the symphony with mom and dad, the old social calendar runneth over this weekend!!)
And now, time to start Monday…sigh…

An evening with friends

Last night, friends Judy and Gord came over for some wine and cheese, wine and pasta, and wine and chocolate fondue, while listening to classic late 60s/early 70s music. Then we watched their video (Gord’s a pro!!) of their trip to Italy – it was like being there.
A wonderful evening!!
I was too busy having fun to take pictures of the evening’s festivities, but I did take a couple of shots of kitties before hand – so, here you go! Have a great rest of your weekend 🙂
