Sunday – an opera and a dinner
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/tiny/
So, yesterday I went to the opera with mom. It was a Verdi neither of us had seen, Simon Boccanegra, and one that we think we would have been perfectly ok with having never seen it. Oh well – the singing for the most part was good…
After the opera, we met Kevin and dad for dinner. First off, wine needed to be had.
Then a bit of appetizer madness, followed by some main courses – schnitzels for Kevin and me, ’cause it was a German restaurant.
And leftovers to take home for supper tonight (since tonight, I am off to the symphony with mom and dad, the old social calendar runneth over this weekend!!)
And now, time to start Monday…sigh…

I have never heard of that opera, but it does not sound like one I am especially missing.
Not one I will ever want to see again, that’s for sure.
Sounds like a lovely evening with your mom, Emily. Good for you!
I hope your Monday was lovely. 🙂
Blessings
Debbie
It was ok. Hope your week is off to a good start – happy Tuesday!
Happy Tuesday to you too, Emily!
