It’s the (second) most wonderful time of the year!!

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/generous/

I do love fall, or autumn as some people call it.  Doesn’t matter what it’s called, it’s a time of colour, and freshness in the air, and Hallowe’en…and Canadian Thanksgiving with turkey and stuffing (or as some people call it, although I can’t for the life of me understand why, dressing – or is dressing the stuffing-wanna-be people cook on the stove??  What’s up with that???).  Anyway, fall.  Almost time for Christmas commercials on TV!!

  1. I so enjoy it when someone (other than myself) gets out of writing the prompt for the daily post and instead gives us something interesting! Thank you!

  2. lol….when you’re vegetarian ya gotta stick the stuffing somewhere….other than the poor little turkey. 😉

  3. I love your fall color photos. We don’t get those photo splashes down in this part of Texas. The kitty is precious, as always. 🙂

The primary differences between stuffing and dressing, in my opinion, is how it is prepared. The presentations are entirely different. Stuffing goes inside the turkey (hence “stuffing”). It can also be cooked on the stove (as in Stove Top Stuffing Mix). Dressing is cooked in the oven, like a fancy cornbread or casserole. Stuffing is loose; dressing holds its form, like a piece of cornbread. It is, ideally, moist, but it holds together. I have had both and flavor-wise, they are much the same to me.

Thanksgiving has always been my very favorite holiday. 🙂

  4. Beautiful! It’s not here yet. When it does get here, it will be another month until turkey and stuffing. I always crave Thanksgiving dinner when y’all have yours!
