Thursday night

And it was a night for fighting. Well, kickboxing class anyway. Something I needed at the end of a long day, and a bit of a stressful week. But it all turned out ok in the end, and the week is pretty much over now. Just a nice Friday to get through, and then, wait for it… the weekend!

I think that sometimes I was our Xerxes favorite scratching post. David made some for him, but I still think he preferred my flesh over the carpet on the posts. 🙂
He would hop on me from out of nowhere, or use me as Grand Central Station on his way to somewhere else. Once, his claws got stuck in the bend of my elbow as he was passing through. When he turned to make his jump, there was blood everywhere. Now, I have a nice set of Xerxes claw scars. It hurt when it happened, but I knew he didn’t mean to hurt me. Now, when I see those scars, I smile thinking of my babykins. I miss him very much.
