Scenes from a hot (well, warm) Thursday
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/slowly/
It’s raining right now. I’m glad it’s raining because it’s been pretty dry (and hot/warm, depending on your tolerance level) here for a couple of weeks. Nothing like last summer when we went for 4 months with no rain, but dry. Yesterday, however, it was sunny and clear, as evidenced by the sight of Mount Baker from Mt. Tolmie on the old lunch-hour walk
Later in the evening, however, I noticed a strange glow in the sky. It looked like this:
And sure enough, sometime late in the night (or early in the morning, depending on your point of view) the rain began. And it continues even now.
Jasper and Elliot were not fussed. It takes a lot to interrupt their evening routine…

Cats don’t seem to get fussed by much. 😃
Yeah – wish I could be more zen like them…
No doubt! 😃
Not having to work or cook or clean house or sit in traffic contribute to that zenness. 😃
I suspect they think they work very hard…get up to eat breakfast, sleep, get up to move to another location to sleep, eat dinner, sleep, get up and come to bed to sleep… 🙂
I’m exhausted just thinking about it! 😃
Lovely sky pictures!
It was a pretty cool sky…
Ah sweet kitties!
They know…believe me, they know 🙂
