Macro Moments Challenge: Week 1
And another new challenge, this one from Musin’ with Susan (https://musinwithsusan.com). It’s Macro Moments Challenge: Week 1 (https://musinwithsusan.com/2016/06/22/macro-moments-week-1/). Briefly, here’s how the challenge works:
- Choose a favorite macro photo from the past week or from your archives.
- Add the photo to your post and a brief description. I would love to know, as I am sure others would, too, what camera and lens you used and your settings.
Okey dokey! I’m pretty proud of this one.
Taken with my Canon Powershot SX700HS, f/5, Exposure time 1/15, ISO-100, taken at night on our deck last week with the built-in flash, and to finish it off, a little cropping in PS Elements.

Great shot; thanks for joining the Macro Moments challenge! Looks like your pingback didn’t make it to the post. Can you leave a pingback to your post in the comments section of my Macro Moments post. Many thanks!
Apologies, the pingback worked; I just had to approve your comment. I’m learning!
🙂 Thanks!
Holy moly. Emily that is really cool. Is that a mosquito? <3
If we were in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, you would believe me if I said it was a mosquito! But, it is just a very large dragonfly 🙂
What. Is. THAT!?
Just a dragonfly!
‘Just’ “Ahhh!!!”
Is that a dragonfly?
Yup!
Wowee that’s a close call!
It was pretty cool to see him (her??) so still and so close like that!
I like dragonflies, but I don’t think I’d want to be face to face with one, lol. You were brave to get so close!
