Gardening Sunday
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/buddy/
We spent a good part of the day gardening, Well, gardening in the sense of the “weed the front yard, line it with bricks, and then shovel and put down mulch” kind of gardening, while Kevin did a little whipper-snipping and mowing.
Here is the new view from the front step.
I still have a little corner to dig up in that there front yard (the side yard’s lawn will be next year’s project), although we may put a big pot there…a big pot meaning a bit clawfoot tub we can fill with bamboo.
Here is the front yard from a side view
And the other side…
And now from the front.
The front yard is now all ready to plant things in!
And here’s what’s left of 5 yards of soil and 2 yards of mulch. A little left to fill that tub with soil and mulch some of the back yard.
And at the end of the day, when I was too sore to move, I sat on the deck and watched clouds while Kevin BBQ’d dinner.
All in all, a good day!

NICE! I love pots stuck here and there in a garden, it adds interest.
I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted. The cold whippin wind wore me out!
It was windy and chilly here too, but not too cold, and nicer that it was chilly for all the hauling and digging I was doing!
The bricks and the clouds are so pretty. Sounds like a good Sunday to me, especially that part about someone else making dinner.
It’s always best when someone else makes dinner!
It’s going to look so pretty! I can’t wait to see it. 🙂
And I now have even more flowers to plant (bought more plants over the weekend, but didn’t plant them because I got sick…) – this weekend!!!
Yay for more flowers! Boo for being sick! I hope you feel better soon, hon.
