Apparently yesterday, while we were out and about getting wine and going to the grocery, I was fascinated by the sky.  Didn’t take pictures of anything else.  Don’t know why.  Well wait.  That’s not true.  I did take pictures of our clematis vines that look like they’re budding.  I think they are leaves, but Kevin is convinced they are flowers.  Seems a bit early, but we shall see…many other things are blooming away convinced it’s already February or March.

Anyway, those pictures are at the bottom under all the sky shots!

And it was a sleepy Saturday.  Our guests were leaving in the afternoon, however, so we did get ourselves out and about for a walk downtown for lunch and a little shopping.

Lunch was curry and chai

Shopping was for tea and trip to Mountain Equipment Co-op.  And then a walk back home, via ice-cream.  Hey, it was a nice day!  Even sunny and warm enough to feel like ice-cream!!

Then our friends packed up and headed out to catch the ferry back to the mainland and their journey back to Saskatchewan.  We fell asleep on the couch, much like kitties…

It’s been a busy week at work, and spending evening time with friends visiting from Saskatchewan.  It was nice for a Friday night to get out and have sushi – it’s not just the “I love sushi!” thing, but also the “I don’t have to cook or clean” thing!!  I even remembered to take some pictures BEFORE all the food was gone 🙂

And now, for some real randomness.  The number of unread email messages on one of our visiting friend’s phones…  Yes, you see that number right…

And happiness again as our espresso machine returns from repairs.  Yay!!!

Hard to believe it’s January when you’re out and about here.  I was at the other campus yesterday and was able to take my favourite hill walk – I haven’t done this walks since September I think.  And it didn’t rain!!
