Christmas Advent Blog Adventure, day 1b (aka, day 2)
Well, as promised, it’s the end of the day and getting dark, therefore time to open the Day 2 window of this blogging Advent Adventure Calendar.
The two topics are:
From the Christmas Postathon (https://4wallsnaroof.wordpress.com/2015/11/30/the-christmas-postathon/): A Christmas song you love to sing along to.
And from the Advent Calendar of Christmas Memories (http://adventcalendar.geneabloggers.com/): Christmas cards (do you still send them, how do you/did you display them).
I’ll answer the Christmas card part first. Yes. I still send them. I have a list (on the emPhone) that I update every year. And this reminds me that I still have to go out and get my cards. I confess, though. Every year about this tie I wonder if this is the year to stop sending cards. As to where I display them? Mostly on the fireplace mantle in the livingroom. I can’t show you now as we haven’t received any cards yet…but soon…
Now, about Christmas songs. One thing you should know about me is that I love to sing all Christmas songs. I know pretty much all of them. I start listening to Christmas music in October (Yes I do – deal with it!) So, choosing only one that I love to sing along to is not going to happen. Except, there is one that makes me happy every time I hear it. And, here it is (lucky you)!

The kindergarten teachers at my school always do a routine with their kids to this song. I think it’s the Shirley Temple version. Really cute.
That would be fun!
I hadn’t heard this song… it’s great! I’ll be smiling every time anyone mentions a hippopotamus to from now on. Fun!
And now you know the plural of hippopotamus is hippopotamuses 🙂
Oh my goodness! The children at my school sing this at the winter concert from time to time. I can’t believe there is actually a video! How cute!
It would be a good one for kids, for sure!
Gosh, I haven’t heard this one for years. Thanks for the nostalgia kick.
You’re welcome!
