Learning to like salad

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/baggage-check/

Today, a short story of greens from our garden.

Of a tall kale plant still growing from last winter now cut back to a more manageable size, to a really spicy green (and I mean REALLY spicy) that I don’t remember the name of growing on our deck, to another green, a little more kale-like, growing in the raised beds.

The kale went into the leftover curry stew, while the rest waits patiently in the fridge for eating over the rest of the week.

Here’s about a third of what I harvested yesterday.  Yum!  Maybe I’ll finally get the hang of this eating salad thing.

  1. Either eat it, or frame it, because that’s a beautiful picture.
