I’m too sexy for my Daily Post…
In response to the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/i-have-confidence-in-me/
Are you good at what you do? What would you like to be better at?
I would like to be better at following the Daily Prompt.
Oh, who am I kidding. No I wouldn’t!
Now, here is what I saw on my walk yesterday up Mt. Tolmie! You can find out more about Mt. Tomie here: http://victoriahiatus.com/victoriahikes/mount-tolmie.html or do your own Google search!. There are lots of trails leading up Mt. Tolmie (which is in the middle of a busy neighbourhood, and within walking distance of both the University of Victoria and Camosun College’s Lansdowne Campus – which is why I was there). It is also a site of a Garry Oak restoration. I especially love how Garry Oaks look before they leaf out – all scraggly and Hallowe’eny looking. Anyway, it was a beautiful day for a hilly walk overlooking the city!
Garry Oaks everywhere
Lots of places to sit and relax in the sun
Overlooking the city in various directions
Mount Tolmie Park plaque
The trail back to work (actually just a trail from one street to the parking lot – nowhere near the park anymore, but I like to take pictures of trails and paths…)

In the preview photo that came in my email, those rocks looked like gators! I’m asking myself, how did she get alligators up there? But, of course, they are simply mild-mannered rocks, minding their own business caught up in the oak imagery.
🙂 I wish I had seen that!
My teeth are being worn down to stubs on account of grinding them jealously.
🙂
Oh, those trees are straight out of a storybook. Perhaps one by Mr Tolkien.
You’re right! Now they’re even more cool!!
A very nice walk indeed! I absolutely love those scraggly oak trees! 🙂
They are SO cool looking at this time of year!
