June Writing Prompts, Day 5 – I just dreamt about you
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, June’s Writing prompts.
Today, “I just dreamt about you”.
I just dreamt about you, Zoom. You are pervasive in my dreams and my waking moments even on days when I am not working. The endless montage of images on the screen, myself in the bottom corner, or sometimes looming large and distracting if I don’t change my settings. Some day you will not dominate my every waking moment, but until then I will just tell everyone my camera is broken so I can stare out my window at the clouds without anyone knowing it.

June Writing Prompts, Day 4 – The wedding tree
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, June’s Writing prompts.
Today, “The wedding tree”.
What on earth is a wedding tree? A tree under which a wedding takes place? Or perhaps a tree which looks like it has attended a lot of weddings – always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

June Writing Prompts, Day 3 – A friendly enemy
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, June’s Writing prompts.
Today, “A friendly enemy“.
Does this mean an enemy who acts friendly, at times? Or a friend who does not always act like a friend? Or perhaps more accurately, someone, or something, that you really want to enjoy but that is really bad for you. You know, like twice baked potatoes and bacon.

June Writing Prompts, Day 2 – This is us being us
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, June’s Writing prompts.
Today, “This is us being us“.
I don’t want to talk about what this prompt brings to mind today. What is going on south of us (and being honest, here too and all over the world), this is not us being us. It can’t be.

June Writing Prompts, Day 1 – The virtual sea
From Putting My Feet in the Dirt, June’s Writing prompts.
Today, “The virtual sea“.
My life is one big virtual sea, or see. I work online, well I always worked a lot online being in eLearning, but now everything I do is online. And I live a lot of my life online. My meditation starts with an app, my writing is all electronic, I blog, I even am still doing Zoom workouts for the foreseeable future (meaning, until I feel safe enough to go back to the gym). But I think it’s important to keep the non virtual side of my life going too. Doing housework (sigh…), working in the garden, hanging out with Kevin and the kitties, and walking down to the non-virtual sea give balance and meaning to a life that has become a bit too virtual these days.
