Interesting question.  In the old days, I would have said stuffing and gravy, but we don’t have turkey at Christmas any more (too much for a small group…)  I don’t eat baked goods any more as I can’t eat gluten, but I do like the gingerbread cookies from the gluten free bakery.

Of course, if we are talking about things other than food, then I would have to say curling up in front of the fire with a good book and not worrying about doing ANYTHING!!  That’s what I’m looking forward to for the next 2 weeks anyway 🙂

Ok, now you’re just trying to trick me.  I mean, I have friends and relatives who read this blog and anything I say is going to get me in trouble with someone.   I have to say though, the first Christmas Kevin and I were together, he got me roses…and wrapped them up and put them under the tree.  He thought they were dead when I unwrapped them, but his mom was able to help us revive them.  That was pretty special!

I am trying my hand at a couple of December/Christmas-lead-up challenges this year.  I just posted my first Christmas Countdown post, and now I am looking at the Christmas Writing Prompt (at https://ourrandomview.wordpress.com/2016/12/02/christmas-writing-prompt-2-hardest-person-to-buy-a-gift-for/).

So, for day two of this challenge,

Ok, that’s a hard one.  For one thing, I hate shopping.

I also, upon reflection, have found everyone hard to buy gifts for at one time or another.  Mainly because I try really hard to think of something that they would like to have, but not necessarily buy for themselves, and I often can’t think of that one special thing (perhaps if I started before December 15??).

Oh, and did I mention that I hate shopping?

I can tell you, I am not hard to buy for at all!  An Amazon gift card, a couple of bottles of Dark Matter, or a plate of bacon!  That’s all I want for Christmas 🙂

I am trying my hand at a couple of December/Christmas-lead-up challenges this year.  I just posted my first Christmas Countdown post, and now I am looking at the Christmas Writing Prompt (at https://ourrandomview.wordpress.com/2016/12/01/christmas-writing-prompt-1-last-christmas/).

So, for day one of this challenge, we are asked to cast our minds back to last Christmas and share memories from it:

• Who did you spend it with?
• What did you watch on TV?
• What games did you play?
• What gifts did you give and receive?

Oh man.  Here we go with the memory again.  Last Christmas, eh?  Well, I know I spent part of it with Kevin… I also remember having Christmas breakfast at mom and dad’s, where we would have opened our stockings.  Then Kevin and I likely went home to open presents from his sister and our friends in North Van.  Mom and dad and friend Darca then came over for dinner.  I think we probably made a roast, that mom would have picked up, and lots of vegetarian dishes since Darca is vegetarian.  We may have watched a movie as well.  Perhaps last year was when we watched Alice at the Palace on YouTube?  Oh, man.  I just don’t remember!  Ok, maybe my resolution for the coming year (and perhaps starting now) needs to be journaling my daily adventures!!

Hey, what do you know?  I was right!  At least about the Christmas breakfast, and a roast for dinner!
