Pull Up a Seat Challenge – 2025 Week 47

Welcome to XingfulMama’s Pull Up a Seat Challenge2

“As I get older I find myself more and more often looking for a place to perch when I am out and about. This might be a chair, a bench, a wall, a pew…maybe even a log or a rock. These spots can be artfully designed, quirky or very plain, sometimes they have a view, sometimes you meet someone else who needs a rest.”

  1. Very symmetric and utilitarian.

  2. I am exactly the same. At the least, a wall to press my back against.

  3. A burning question is: why don’t big-box stores have seating for us older folks? HEB, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, none have a bench, a chair, or a lounger for us old guys to rest while the wife continues to drain our bank account. It’s a form of discrimination against the aged. My grandfather had an old car seat, similar to your picture. He rested it on the shady side of his barn, and that’s where my cousins and I would sit in the afternoons. It was ragged, full of bugs and critters, but we didn’t mind; it was a respite from the heat and better than sitting on the ground.
