I always wanted a slingshot when I was a kid. Seemed like a cool and effective way to get rid of people who were bugging you. I read about them in old books, maybe Tom Sawyer or something like that. Didn’t David do in Goliath with one? They probably don’t sell them in stores any more cause, well, someone could get their eye shot out. Or maybe they are in the Gun aisle at WalMart…

The other cool thing I remember about the term slingshot is how Apollo 13 slingshot around the moon to get back to earth. At least that’s how I remember it from the movie.
