Blogging from A to Z Challenge: H is for… (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2024 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
I’ve revealed my theme (A poem a day…with picture), and of course, I am unashamedly blogging my theme letters on the fly. So, here goes nothing!
So, without further ado, H is for ...Haibun. A Haibun is “Japanese form, pioneered by the poet Basho, and comprising a section of prose followed by haiku. They are frequently travelogues – as in Basho’s The Records of a Travel-Worn Satchel (1688). In the best examples, the prose and haiku should work together to create an organic whole.“
Errands are best run during the day on weekends, the time of day when others think the same. Stop, start, stop, start. Foot on the brakes when someone turns in front of you, are they oblivious or just important? Yellow light means hurry up. Red light means am I close enough to justify going through? Why does that lane suddenly end, and will that driver next to me decide to go straight from the turn lane? Sigh of relief when we make our destination, the only challenge now to find parking. Plenty of spaces, but we know when we emerge there will be a car right next to us blocking the passenger door. Back up, get in, off we go. A carnival game you should need to be this high to compete in. Or not high, but patient.
Driving around town
Tires and impatient drivers
always in a rush

Thanks for visiting my 2024 A to Z Challenge – Letter H.
Guess I’m kind of going rogue too…although I do like using the “official” letters…

Yes, it’s like a game at times. Get from start to finish, go around obstacles, hurry for the best parking spot. Watch out for other players. 🙂
The most dangerous game?
Perfect.
🙂
