What kind of vacations did you have as a child?

We visited all our American relatives in the summer and at Christmas, from Ohio, to Las Vegas, to Florida and sometimes even California. We visited people, not places though so I never saw the Grand Canyon or other famous spots…

Have any of those remained favourites now that you’re an adult?

I have a soft spot for Las Vegas, but the old LV before it changed…you know what I mean…

What has been your best vacation ever?

The time Kevin and I went on vacation, our first (and one of the only road trips we’ve done as an actual vacation with no weddings and stuff attached) and got lost trying to drive through Yellowstone (who knew they closed the park until late spring) and wound up in Cody Wyoming. My aunt, who we were trying to get to in Idaho Falls, said if we survived that we were meant to be…that was 28 years ago.

Do you prefer resorts where there are no kids allowed?

Well, I don’t know as I don’t go to resorts. And I don’t want to insult people with children – I am sure yours are all very well behaved! What I want is a resort that allows cats!
