I think in his own cat way he does – at least he knows something has changed and his companion for 11 years was not able to play, etc. for the past couple of months, and now there is a void of some kind. It’s so hard to tell what they know and don’t know. I was worried leaving Elliot alone all day today to go to work, but I am sure he is just sleeping and it is more me missing the interaction of the two of them.
