 Today, D is for DECIM8 .

DECIM8 is a popular app which adds effects not only onto already taken photos, but can also access your camera and add them when you take the photo. There are a number of effects, and you can use one at a time or stack them on tops of each other. You can also randomize effects, and once you have chosen effects you can randomize parameters of those effect and/or choose a variety of blend modes (light, luminosity, etc.) to enhance your effects.

Full disclosure: I had not used DECIM8 until this post. I had it on my iPad, but it won’t work in landscape mode, only portrait mode, which drives me crazy on my iPad with its keyboard. You can, of course, use it on your iPhone which is something I am going to try, creating effects in-camera so to speak. I do have to say this app was a little frustrating as the effects kept changing and I couldn’t replicate an image one try to the next. I am sure there must be a way but I don’t know what it is yet!
