30 Day of Composition. August 16: What’s leaving the frame?

Here is today’s post for Emma David Camera Club, remembering that August is all about the 30 Days of Composition.

Every day is a new theme, but I am also challenging myself with an overall theme for the month, Around the House (and Yard), and some weekly sub-themes, this week’s being Black and White.

So, today the theme is What’s leaving the frame? “Do you keep your whole subject in frame? If not, which bits of it will leave the frame, and where? If you’re shooting people (or animals) don’t cut them off at the knees – the rule is to crop between joints (so between ankle and knee, between knee and hip). Pay attention to the edges of your shot for this prompt.”
