July Photo a Day Challenge, Day 2: Joy
Since I am now on holidays, and will be for the entire month of July, it is only fitting I am challenging myself to a series of daily posts – writing and photography. So, in addition to RDP and Fandango, here is one from City Sonnet – a July Photo a Day Challenge (https://citysonnet.wordpress.com/2019/07/01/july-photo-a-day-challenge-2/)!
And for this one, I am challenging myself to use a photo taken on the day of the prompt – and all of them will be in black and white!
Today’s prompt is: Joy
So, today’s joy is a little weird for July 2, but it rained this morning. Nay, it poured (Kevin must have gotten soaked riding to work). In a place where we go for weeks and sometimes months in the summer with no rain, this was a joy to behold – if a little difficult to take a picture of.

It stormed at work, so I texted my husband to ask if it was raining at home. Not a drop. And I work 15 minutes from home! Weird.
Weather can be pretty weird. I’m just happy I don’t have to water the yard today!
The joy of morning rain!
Indeed!
The entire month??? I’m so jealous! Oh wait … I’ve been retired since July 2008 … what am I thinking??? 🤣🤣 Enjoy your holiday, my friend! Going anywhere, or just hanging out at home?
Just hanging, with aspirations of doing some painting and other productive things!
😎
Pretty picture 🙂
We sometimes have rains in one place and not another, one side of town v another. However, when I lived in the south, it was even smaller portions, like across the street, but not at my house. It rains weird in Georgia. I’m glad I’m home.
I can definitely be like that here too!
