Flower of the Day: June 3, 2018

Cee’s Flower of the Day (https://ceenphotography.com/2018/06/02/flower-of-the-day-june-3-2018-bluebells/)

For awhile I was not a fan of petunias, but now they are making a comeback for me…at least in hanging pots.  I do like them in those hanging pots!

  1. YES! Beautiful 🙂 So cool, thanks for posting. Brightened my Sunday morning, Emily!

  2. I have always loved petunias, but it gets way too hot too quickly here. Poor things melt….I will enjoy yours and picture those hanging baskets. Lovely, Emily.

    • My mom grew lots of petunias, geraniums, and marigolds, so I tend to stay away from all three (especially geraniums – can’t stand them), but we can grow so many cool things where we live now (compared to where we came from, anyway), that the odd petunia is kind of fun!

  3. My mom always had lots of petunias, and I’ve had some. They seem easy to grow. Funny thing we kids used to do…we’d pick the flower, pull out the middle things to suck on. It was very sweet to the taste. 🙂

    • Very funny…but then, kids are kind of funny. Well, you survived, so I guess we can always suck on the petunia for food when the zombie apocalypse comes 🙂

      • Yep, it’s a wonder we all survived the crazy things we did as kids. I used to eat Elm tree leaves, too, a nice green taste. haha – things to include in a Zombie survival kit – petunias! 🙂
