A photo class in the park led to some new flower shots.
A to Z Challenge: L is for Logs (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2018 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
Logs make great pictures. Well, trees of any kind make great pictures. Live trees, leaves, closeups of bark. But I really like logs. Luckily I live in a place where trees are in abundance. Strangely though, all the logs I present today were in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Go figure!
Still working on my depth of field.
Angles galore, with a little black and white to spookify them.
Gnarly stumps attached to logs.
Logs to crawl under.

Not all the daffodils are dead yet!
Nothing like a Kitten Thursday to remind you it’s Friday tomorrow!
A response in not as much avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/disrupt/
And boy, do I need Friday to be here! For these guys, every day is Friday!
A to Z Challenge: K is for Kittens (uncooperative) (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2018 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
Today, K is for Kittens – the ones being uncoorperative.
If you follow my blog, you know that occasionally I take pictures of our kittens. Sometimes, however, they are not the most cooperative subjects and pictures turn out not quite how I imagined them. Doesn’t stop me from posting them though 🙂
Here, as an additional Kitten Thursday post, are some past uncooperative kitten photos for you!

A to Z Challenge: J is for Junk (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2018 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
What is the difference between Junk and Garbage? Well, I guess some garbage can be junk, but there is some garbage I wouldn’t call junk. Like, stale bread, or ripped bags, or some of the other things I remember putting in the garbage can earlier today (hey, the bread went in the compost, ok?) Anyway, junk describes a lot of the crap, I mean stuff, in our basement. Stuff we don’t want any more, stuff that probably doesn’t work anymore, or we don’t need any more, or is stained or broken. That’s junk.
I don’t know about you, but I see junk all the time (aside from in our basement) – on the side of the road, left at the curb, in yards. Sometimes people pick it up and, well, I don’t know what they do with it. One person’s junk, is another person’s treasure I guess.
But, junk can make for cool pictures. Here are some of my junkie photos.
Junk by the side of the highway.
Junk from days gone by at the Medalta Pottery factory.
Random junk by the railway tracks somewhere in Saskatchewan.

Colour Your World: Copper
And now, here is your Colour Your World challenge post for today! (https://tourmalinenow.com/2018/04/08/this-weeks-challenges-april-8-14-owpc-ww-cyw/)
I love this floor – it’s an uncovered original tile floor in our favourite local soap shop. I’ve done a bit of post-production on it, and voila: Coppery!
