Christmas Special (2017) Writing Prompt #23

Welcome to Our Random View’s Christmas Special Writing Prompts.  Today’s theme – Favourite Christmas Activity? (https://ourrandomview.wordpress.com/2017/12/23/christmas-special-2017-writing-prompt-23-favourite-christmas-activity/)

What could be better than Christmas dinner with family and friends, watching a movie (one Christmas I introduced Dad to This is Spinal Tap), listening to Christmas music, and of course, eating stuffing!  I’m looking forward to this year’s stuffing…I mean, family dinner 🙂

  1. I LOVE This Is Spinal Tap! Awesome. 😃😃

  2. Love the tartan tablecloth! Happy Christmas.

  3. I have a tablecloth like that…somewhere! I wonder what I did with it……hmmmm….

    • It will be in the last place you look… 🙂

      • Likely! I got on a kick last year and put all my tablecloths together, after washing and pressing them, in our Master closet. My husband didn’t think it was the right place, so he ‘did me a favor’ and put them away in storage with holiday decorations. I’ve not really used my stored decorations all year, except at Christmas, and I’ve not yet come across them!

      • Oh, save us from husbands doing us favours like this!

      • It’s difficult to be angry and annoyed when you know they were honestly doing us favors. As we’ve discussed, it’s likely just time for us to downsize again. I find I’m good at a once-over decluttering, clean out. The daily grind doesn’t always make me as discerning over the decisions, or those of my family. Thank goodness we’re intentionally spending some time at home to intentionally get our crazy back into more simplified order! Merry Christmas to you and yours ❤

      • True enough…and Merry Christmas to you and your family too 🙂

  4. Seasons greetings and all the best in 2018 to you and yours
