NaNoPoblano 2017 – Day 27 (November 27)

Go NaNoPoblano (National Blog Posting Month) (https://anitashree.com/2017/10/12/its-approaching-that-time-again !

Today I spent some time in emerg.  Not for me, and everyone is ok, but you know – emerg.  For you Americans out there, that’s the way Canadians say E.R.

Anyway, there are some funny signs in emerg.  This first one asks if they have asked me for a urine sample.   Somehow I don’t think this refers to those of us just hanging out, waiting for the person who actually needed to go to the hospital.  Also, I apologize for the poor quality – it didn’t feel toward to get up and walk across the room to take a picture in an emergency room.

This second sign had me wondering if wearing a mask was a good idea if you were vomiting.  Just saying.

And thus ends my tale of 3 hours in emerg.

  1. Love that you thought to blog when in the er 🙂 What was wrong, is everything ok Emily? Blessings, Debbie

  2. The mask would be preferable for the vomitee. That’s how we say “unfortunate bystander” in the U.S.

  3. Oh no, I try not to think of vomiting with the mask on. Yuk! Glad to know that your dad is okay now. Emerg, I mean E.R. wasn’t fun. One time, I went; waited so long that my husband was upset with the doctor.

  4. Glad all is ok

  5. I think a mask is useful at all times in a hospital. You never know what germs someone has that they may inadvertently pass on to you. However, you might look a bit rude wearing a mask all the time therefore I suggest disguising it as a Batman mask and people will laugh at you but will never suspect you are wearing a mask to avoid catching the flu or anything else going around! 🙂
