NaNoPoblano 2017 – Day 5 (November 5)

Go NaNoPoblano (National Blog Posting Month) (https://anitashree.com/2017/10/12/its-approaching-that-time-again/ !

And for today’s post, I present Quintessential Saskatchewan as seen through the big-girl camera.

Most people think of Saskatchewan (if they think of it at all) of flat land and amazing sunsets.  Well, that part is true – and you’ll see that further down.  But there is a lot more to my old home province than flatness.  Up north there are huge lakes and trees, and heading west from Regina, there are the rolling hills and long highways and worn trails of the Cypress Hills area.  I didn’t head north for this last trip, but I did spend time in Cypress Hills:

And for those of you who crave the more traditional view:

  1. Interesting to see what you saw through your camera. I especially like the old railroad tracks and the sunsets! 🙂

  2. When I think of your town, what comes to mind is hauntingly beautiful with all of the gorgeous shots you produce and also…unpronounceable.

If I tried to say Sacata…….out loud it would sound like this

Wonderful shots, so much colour and detail captured well in all of them 🙂

    • I think my father was once pulled over in the US because the cop wanted to know how to pronouce the name on his license plate!

      • Lol that is hilarious! (Not for your father though, maybe the copper thought that the town was made up and he was on his way as part of an elaborate heist scheme with him as the getaway driver). For all of my teasing, your town does have a very beautiful name 🙂
