A Photo a Week Challenge: Under the Lights
A Photo a Week Challenge at https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com. This week: Natural Monuments (https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com/2016/08/11/a-photo-a-week-challenge-under-the-lights/)
“In a new post created for this challenge, share a photo or two of two or three tricky lighting situations.”
I love taking pictures at night – more than taking pictures when it’s sunny out. I still haven’t figured out how to make sunny work for some shots. But night? They can be fun and mysterious even when you can’t really see what’s going on!!
I don’t tend to use flash in the dark to maintain the atmosphere, but I do pump up the ISO and lower the old shutter speed.
Here are a few photos I took one night when we walked out on the breakwater:

That second one turned out with a wild effect! Very ethereal. 😃
Thanks! I think Kevin was trying to avoid the camera…
Sounds like my wife. I still get her though. 😃
Wow this is beautiful, Emily! Very creative and unique perspective. Thank you 💓
Thanks very much!!
That last photo is amazing with mood and color!
I kind of like that one – I confess I’ve used it in other challenges….
I feel badly I hadn’t noticed it. Sorry.
Oh, I was hoping no one would!! 🙂
Very cool effects. Thanks for joining the challenge!
